Frances has specialised in Employment and Discrimination Law since qualifying in 2005.
She has defended equal pay claims on behalf of 17 local authorities and represented public sector bodies in relation to claims of sex, age, race, disability, sexual orientation and religion or belief discrimination. Recently she has been working with local authority clients on matters including employment status of foster carers, sensitive whistleblowing issues, TUPE, restructuring, voluntary early release schemes and holiday pay.
Frances is a member of the Law Society Equality & Diversity Sub-Committee and the Equality Lead for Clyde & Co (Scotland). She is described in Chambers & Partners 2023 as “very personable, approachable and a great litigator. She maintains calmness and clarity of thought in the midst of litigation in an impressive way.”
