Simon Cameron
Simon has worked in local government for over 17 years and has been with COSLA for just over three.
He first started with South Lanarkshire Council establishing their vocational development programme before holding a corporate role responsible for equalities, organisational development and complaints handling.
He started with COSLA leading on the establishment of participatory budgeting across all 32 councils. He then led on the Local Governance Review before becoming the Chief Officer of the Employers’ Team at the start of the pandemic. In this role he is the joint secretary for both the Scottish Joint Council and the Scottish Negotiating Committee for Teachers managing national industrial relations on behalf of the Employers’ side
