Veronica Hope Hailey
Veronica Hope Hailey is Emeritus Professor at the University of Bath and Director of Policy and Research at The Forward Institute.
Her previous appointments include University Vice President and also six years as Dean of the School of Management at the University of Bath. Prior to Bath, she was Associate Dean and Professor of HRM at Cass Business School, City, University of London and Professor of HRM at Cranfield School of Management. She also held a Fellowship at the University of Cambridge and was elected a Fellow of the Academy for Social Sciences in 2019.
Veronica specialises in working with large, mature organisations in long term collaborative research partnerships focusing on aspects of responsible leadership, employee engagement and change.
During the COVID crisis, working with the CIPD, Veronica collected data from 50 interviews with board directors from amongst major UK employers on how they balanced the need to be ‘responsible leaders during the COVID Crisis whilst ensuring the long term financial sustainability of their businesses.
Veronica has been Chair of the national charity “Help for Heroes” and has sat on various boards as a trustee including the Chartered Association of Business Schools and the international NGO Action Aid. She has worked across the UN system as well as consulting widely internationally.
