Sharon began her career in physiotherapy before joining the civil service. She has worked in local government for more than 25 years, joining Aberdeen City Council as a trainee Personnel Officer and then moving on to Aberdeenshire Council where she was Personnel Manager, subsequently spending five years as HR Strategy Manager, leading teams in strategic HR matters covering recruitment, workforce strategy, policies and remuneration.
Sharon joined Angus Council in 2014 to head up HR, IT and OD. Since then her role has expanded to include digital enablement, business support and the contact centre and she is proud to lead an amazing team, both in her service and in the wider council. She is passionate about organisational design, digital transformation and employee development.
